PRIVATE 3-DAY FES TO MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR

Cross Morocco from Fes to Marrakech on a private three-day route through the Middle Atlas and Merzouga. Experience the Erg Chebbi dunes by camel, spend a night in the Sahara and continue through Todra, Dades and the High Atlas. The journey combines major desert highlights in a compact itinerary.

DAY 1: FES - IFRAN - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA AND CAMEL RIDE

On the first day of this 3-day trip, depart Fes for the Middle Atlas Mountains. Drive through a cedar forest and see the resident monkeys, before descending to the Sahara Desert. Stop midway for lunch and continue to Merzouga. Arrive at the traditional kasbah at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on a camel ride across the dunes. At the Berber camp, enjoy mint tea and dinner, gaze at the stars and spend the night in a tent.

DAY 2: MERTZOUGA - RISSANI - TODRA VALLEY - DADES GORGES

On the second day visit Merzouga, Tinghir and Ouarzazate. Head out on the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs along the ancient caravan route. This area has been a popular location for Hollywood films, such as The Last Temptation of Christ and Jewel of the Nile. Stop for lunch and a walk in Todgha Gorges and then travel through the Dadès Valley past dramatic escarpments. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in the Gorges or in Ouarzazate.

DAY 3: DADES - AIT BEN HADDOU - TIZI N’TICHKA - END TOUR IN MARRAKECH

The itinerary for the third day includes Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou and Marrakech. Visit the town of Ouarzazate, including the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios – the largest and most famous movie studios in Africa. After lunch, stop at the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. We continue through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Take in the small villages and continuously changing landscapes. Drop off will be at your hotel or riad in Marrakech.Our Fes to Marrakech desert tour finish and we drop you at your hotel.
